the ideals of National Conservatism-monarchy, in some extreme cases leads to police state, preserves old style government (spawned Nazism and Facistism, but is not the same thing...just influnenced those ideologies).

OR

Socialism-Lenin followed this idealogy, he started the Balkivich revolution and introduced Communsim (an extreme form of Socialism, which influences Communsim just as Conservatism influnced the ideals of the Nazi) into Russia.

Communism/Socialism basically shaped and defined the entire 20th century.

But the entire history of the world prior to that basically delt with national conservatism/monarchies.

As what jin said, if National conservatism hadnt came around. Or been first, socialism might of never happened. Its Whos a better president bush or washington.... If washington didnt do what he did bush might of never been pres. SO i would pick National Conservatism.

Yeah Socialism has had a much smaller impact on the world. Number 1 just as a matter of time, Socialism is much newer, relatively speaking. How long was the world dominated by monarchies? Also if you look at Global Economies, Socialist nations made up far fewer wealthier nations, and money does equal influence, although that too has changed over the last couple of decades. As far as trying to spread the ideology, as was alluded to in regards to the spread of communism, both systems have tried to spread themselves around the world (including by the use of force). However, IMO Socialism will become more influential in the future world, because if you look you can see the shift is already going strong. Look to Europe and the EU to see this, as well as even in this country, we have shifted alot compared to how this country was when first founded, and many people want it to shift even further. Unfortunately (at least IMO) socialism is most likely the inevitable future for the vast majority of the world, given enough time, since (again this is just my opinion) socialism makes it easier to control the populace and enables those in power to get even more power. While National Conservatism is harder to keep the people supressed, since they do not percieve their needs as being met, whilein Socialist countries they see the "free" healthcare, education, ect. as the gov't meeting their needs and it pacifies them and makes revolt less likely. National Conservatism requires the use of force (whether direct or implied) to maintain control, while Socialism appeals to the people's sense of self-interest (whether real or not).

the monarchies of europe shaped the world for centuries and in their own way(persecution) led to making america what it is today, not to mention canada, and even much of south america, africa, asia, etc.

on the other hand communism has changed world ideals, caused war, death, etc.

overall, i'd say the first one though because its been impacting the world for so much longer.

Q. How did Communism cause "war, death, etc"? That statement implies that the other systems have not, yet historically war and death have been unleashed by every form of gov't yet to exist, no system is innocent in that regard. Look at how many wars and battles were fought before communism was a twinkle in Marx's eyes.
