I have an 04 vert, can I cut the neck of my halo down a 3/8 of an inch so the body of the hopper sits snug on my feed tube? Right now I can see 3/8 of an ich of the sanded part of the hopper.

Will this screw up the " rythm " of the balls being fed into the breach ?

Thanks

I don't think it will. Although I think it might make the neck crack and halo bodies aren't cheap.
You might just cut it off where you want it then put electrical tape around it one or 2 times to keep it from spliting.

Yeah, it wont do anything to the "rythm" on the feeding, and as long as you do it correctly, you should have problems with cracking. But, as autocockerocker stated, you might wanna wrap it in tape just to be safe.

You say as long as I do it correctly.... what does that mean exactly? and as far as cracking, why would it crack and how can I avoid it?

Do people usually cut their hoppers down?

you should be fine, the halo necks are made to be modified (sanded down, or cut) what ur gonna want to do is put it in a vice when ur cuttin so ur not shakin around so u get a nice clean cut and if the neck is not shakin around ur not gonna have much chance to crack it, cracks come from sloppy cuts

Done...

It fits sweet now. I cut it a little crooked but it fits nice and snug.

No cracks either, vice was a great idea.

Interesting that a drop that large balnces your gun better... Seems like it would make it front heavy... What kind of tank do you use?

I have a 70/4500 fiber wrapped and I use a CP On/Off with no drop... With paint my cocker is balanced right at the spot where the grip meets the trigger guard...

I'm not meaning to be rude just wondering what sort of tank you use to get balanced with that sort of drop
