I was driving down I-680 coming back from a Soccer game, and it's dusk, and I'm driving and I see some siren lights up ahead. So I look over and I see 2 Police Cars, and ambulance and a Firetruck. I'm thinking "Bad Accident?" But parked in front of those was a military tank.(M1 maybe. Alpha?)

I have no idea what that was about, it was pretty crazy. If it helps I was driving near Travis AFB that's in NorCal.

Maybe they were testing the tank or someone tried to steal it. Its happened before. Maybe the police were just escorting the tank.

The military would probably never put a tank on a civilian highway becuase:

1. ITs ****ing scary, and peope would freak out.
2. They are so heavy, they crack roads as they go

It was probably commandeeredby some crazy guy.

May I ask if there was an M60 Machinegun on the top, or anything. Did you notice any markings on it?

You make it sound like they just gave him a flesh wound. The bullet was fired straight down striking the suspect in the area where the shoulder meets the neck. The bullet travelled in a downward path striking the lungs, diaphragm and the stomach. The person died a few minutes later from bleeding into his chest cavity and abdomen.

The cops killed him -- justifiably so as he was beginning to try to take out overpass supports, and the police were unsure if the tank had its ammunition vault loaded or not.

They do millitary training near there. U see hummers go by daily. The tank prolly ran out of fuel or somethig.

It all makes sence. Some guy got the tank from the ammunation, went down to I-680, blew up some cars and blew up soem people. TEh firetrucks came when tthe cars were on fire, and the ambulance becuase people died.. And the cops were there ebcuase he already had 3 stars.

Sounds like a pretty cool experience.. i wouldve loved to have seen a random tank on the highway.
