I noticed finally at my shop, there was an ironmen Trix sitting in the corner. So i go over and pick the thing up and i immediately think "Wow this sucker is light"...Then i noticed there was no Chamber to the left.

What was the benefit of them milling out that chamber besides Weigh purposes?

Well a lot of the weight, the Volumizer chambers are not needed, just for looks that's all. I think I would rather mill those out too.

accually the right chamber is used for air, the left chamber was added to the design of the gun to make it more "balanced" looks wise if u know wut i mean, but in some custom trixes they mill the left chamber out, make an eye wire cover, and do some other milling of excess weight added to the trix to lighten it up, Joes trix is a good example.

If you play front, a lighter gun will help you run faster than if you had a heavy gun, especially if you're a small guy. Plus it's always nice to have a lighter gun than a heavy one.

i had a 2k2 matrix with a angel air tank and i played front, i hit the 50 off the break 99.9% of the time, the weight of a gun had very little to do with anything IMO u may think dif but thats just my $0.02-alex

Doesn't really matter if you hit the 50 off the break. You could have been running up to one of those huge JT pyramids. Anways...A lighter gun will help you in a lot of situations because its easer to move around quickley.

it makes it light as hell. my trix has the dead air chamber milled off, as well as a few windows milled in it and its definitly lighter then a dm4. much easier to work with IMO

...how many times are you leaning out having to hold a 10 pound gun for longer than a minute posting on someone...thats when you want a lighter gun...really try it...get a ten pound weight...sit 1 foot inside of a bunker (couch...wall etc) and lean out holding the weight...u'll feel it

yes i no. if u went out with a weight u would be thinking about it tho. if u was to play speedball with a ummmm... 98, u wouldnt notice the weight while im playing. when i first pick it up i would say "damn! this is way heavier than my matrix, and alias." but when u get on the field u'll forget about it.

Yes you won't until your posted on someone or a certain spot for a minute or two. Trust me I thought like you until it happend, it feels like crap holding a 10 pound setup posted on someone at the end of a 7 man game.

well y would u run a 10 pound set up, i mean thats a little unrealistic, sure if ur posted on some1 u might feel the weight but if there not comming out on that side for more than a minute than maybe you should think about focusing on another player and having you back/mid guy keep him/her in? i've played with allot of difrent guns and sure the set up i had on my trix was heavier but i didnt sit there and complain about how heavy it was,i stil made all the same bunkers i made when i was running my GZ with a screw in and a rev(which is a very "light set-up") suck it up, and shoot some fools in there faces!

Just because you don't say " damn this is heavy" during the game...It does make a difference when you are holding a few less pounds.

dude...trix setups are inbetween 8-10 lbs...depending on tank/hopper/barrel ect...and i wasn't complaining...none of are...were just saying the reason for ironman type milled trixes...they DO have a good purpose...
