I leave February 16th to go to Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD for an Army Generator Mechanic class. I'll be there till May 12th. I've never been in that area at that time of year. So, hows the weather there? Whats fun to do on the weekends thats within a 50 mile radius?

No, maryland isnt really cold. If you want cold, try going to Barrow, Alaska (most northern point of Alaska) for a full week in the middle of Febuary to visit family. Worst weather related experience of my life.

As a resident of the DC metropolitan area, I can honestly say that we have the worst weather in the world. Ungodly hot and humid in the summer, and depressing sleet and rain/slush in the winter. The wierd thing is, this past week its been in the 60's here. I just dont understand it. Aberdeen is pretty awsome though, I was there as a little kid, they had a huge field with a bunch of old army tanks that you could climb on and poke around in.

weather.com can be your friend ;) I lived about 3 hrs from the DC area for 6 yrs and I can tell you it can get very cold, but from what I am told the winter has been weird this yr. (like everywhere else this winter) I know we've been in the 60's and 70's for wks now and I'm loving it! though I just talked to a friend from Va and they had snow last weekend.....
