Do you associate summer with a particular smell? They say memories are most influenced by smell.. Every time I think or smell a certain aroma, I think of summer.. Its like fresh, clean, warm, freedom and laundry.

yeah i know.. the weather has been SO weird lately.. its usually in the low 20's, and even gets into the 10's around this time of januaray, but its been in the 40's, 50's , 60's. i usually enjoy cold weather, but for some reason i just am sick of it.. i like having the window open, no snow, no wetness outside, no dryness, none of that... i want to walk home in shorts and a t-shirt or at least jeans and a t-shirt.. i hope these next 2 months go by fast.

This year has been really weird. We got some snow a while ago but it has been very warm for this time of year for the past couple weeks. But yeah, I know what you are talking about with the smell thing. I don't know what it is but summer definately does have a smell to it, and for me I always associate it with a camp that I go to, because that is my favorite week of the year, every year, and my favorite place to be.

Normally this time of year, I have a few feet of snow, and am out on the snowmobiles everyday. This "winter" it has been below freezing twice in about a month. And on sunday it's gonna be about 55 degrees! I'm hatin' it!

And yeah, it does smell like summer, and the grass is still green. I need the cold smell of winter within the next few weeks, or I'm gonna end up cold-deficient.

My work reminds me of summer. It's a famous resturant in my city, right beside the beach, so lots of customers, and I spend a majority of my summer there.

Living in Chicago sort of sucks. In summer it's really hot,and in winter it's really cold.

i love the smell of walking outside right after it rains, probobly the smell that reminds me most of summer and stuff associated with that.
Hah! I wish it rained in summer here. But it's so damn hot that the rain condenses, falls, then evaporates before hitting the ground :nododgy:

I'm with you on that one Kat. here in the midwest winter has a distinct smell and you can tell if it's gonna snow by looking to see what the clouds look like.

and your'e right..it's does have a faint smell of spring this winter not real strong, but it's there. It makes me warn and happy inside because winter is just plain bad, especialyl after all this realyl nice weather.
