Forgive the onslaught of new topics, but I've just been relieved of a paintball moratorium that was instituted in the cold weather and the gradually increasing intensity of schoolwork. I have a Tippmann A5 and am generally happy with it--at least it performs well and reliabley, unlike some of my previous bargain bin markers. Anyways, I have the notorious Flatline barrel. I have taxed myself dearly to make this barrel work, reading countless pages of advice and walkthroughs, yet success has evaded me. I am somehow able to chop balls as if my cyclone were a blender. Anyways, once the weather gets warmer I am hoping to give the flatline another go...however if I still can't crack it, I will obviously be looking for a different barrel. I have heard marvelous reviews of the cheap J&J barrels, especially the ceramic and full-tilt ceramic ones. I was wondering if any of you had experience with both the flatline and the full-tilt barrels, and was curious how the compared and if the J&J was a worthy investment? It seems hard to go wrong, what with the raving reviews and bargain prices, but I would like some real opinions on how good a barrel the J&J is. Thanks.

J&J barrels are wonderful, they shoot out breaks like nobodys' business. I've heard many good things about the kits bore sizes and i speak from experience when I say that thier single barrels shoot draxxuz blaze/midnight and diablo heat very well.

I've got a J&J on my 98, it works pretty good. I like it because i tend to use cheap paint with my 98 and the J&J really reduce the abount of paint build up in the barrel, but it dosn't eliminate it.

As for your flatline, it sounds like your problem is more with the paintballs. Flatlines are really picky with paint. so you'll probbly just have to wait for a warmer temps and buy some better balls.
