If I had a spyder and it broke would I have to worry about whether or not they would fix or replace it? I was told their service isnt really the best.

ALSO, Im planning to order my gun online and they want you to send the card that comes with the gun back to them with your receipt if you want to have a warranty...but what would be the receipt?

Usually a printout of the order confirmation or shipping E-mail is sufficient. In my experience though most companies will give you repair support without sending the warrenty card in.

They could very well be different then what I've experienced. A lot of times if you don't send the card in, they will go by the manufacturing date for the item. As long as it hasn't been sitting on a shelf somewhere you should be gold. The only way to find out is to call them and see what they'll do.

Thanks for clearing that up.

I have another question..since this will be my first gun I dont know all the basics yet. How exactly can a gun break anyways?

Various reasons. Lack of oiling, Leaks, Some were even craked in half due to abuse, scratches, and various other bad things that all can be fixed.

Basic upkeep is easy. Cleaning the marker after evry game. The longer version and more better way to do it is this.... You have to take all the internals out, every single bit. Mostlikely you hacked a ball and there is paint resedue in the barrell and in the body. What I do is soak the boddy in soapy water and "scrub" the inside with a cloth barrell cleaner and do this to the barrell to. THis also simeltaneously cleans the squegge.

Once done dry the body and the barrell. THen bathe the rest off the barts and wipe them down in order to prevent corosion.

Next lightly oil the parts (this also is a flux to prevent rusty and corroded parts which rarely happens even in badly treated spyders.). Re assemble the marker and your done.

Now the eaier way to do this is simply take off the internals and wipe everything down and with a squeege run it through the body frame and do the same for the barrell. Wipe the the bolt of paint and dirt and do the same with the other internals. Then oil and reassemble.

Note for the therough version of upkeep you have to take the valve out inorder to clean the lower part. However the through version is more for the experianced player that knows his way around a gun.

Thanks a lot guys. Im getting a Spyder Xtra...I was going to get the Victor 2 but I was told that I was better off with the Xtra because it has a aluminum trigger frame.

i once owned a spyder victor... and in the middle of a game the plastic trigger frame exploded. the little pin that keeps the valve in just flew out and shot through the trigger frame, causing plastic shrapnel to go everywhere. Also, since the body no longer had solid contact with the sear, my victor started shooting at like 100000000 bps. And, not wanting to leave the game, i tied it together with a kids barrel condom, right in the middle of a game.... yeah, victor trigger frames suck.

Kingman's customer service is one of the best in the industry. You can call and talk to a service tech, and 9 times out of 10 they will diagnose the problem on the first phone call. If there is a new part involved, they can order that shipped to you right away as well.

I have nothing but praise for Kingman and thier customer service.
