Tae Kwon Do is not a martial art, it is a sport.

I take a mix of Isshin Ryu Karate and Jujitsu. I don't care much for traiditional styles, even though I find them cool. I am way more into practical arts, like the Jujitsu and whatnot. Currently I'm almost an 'advanced' brown belt in Isshin Ryu.

Street sparring is the best.

It originated in Okinawa by Tatsuo Shimabuku during WW2 I believe. Tatsuo was only around 5 feet, and he developed the style for little people, basically (though it works for all sizes of people).

Instead of blocking with the muscle, you block with the bone to inflict as much pain on the enemy as possible. Punches are straight most of the time, with the thumb on top of the index finger. Index finger & middle finger are slightly further out than the rest (aligns your bones when you punch with those two knuckles, providing more power and less damage to yourself). Umm, most traditional stances are very well rooted, with excellent balance. Uh, yeah. Sort of hard to tell you through the internet. I'd have to show you.

I also think i've heard of the style, but i think it was called something else, because i watched it and they said the style was created for smaller people
