I dont think its actually ...... "helping". From what I understand if microsoft does this, then it will no longer be a free OS. And if you use linux they can like file law suits against you because you are using a part of "their" program.


But thats just what I heard some crazy linux lover say.

Microsoft is partnering with Novell to promote Suse Linux. Basically, it sends Red Hat packing...

You understand wrong. Linux is distributed in many different fashions (Mandrake, Suse, Ubuntu, Slackware, Debian, etc...) So there is no way they could make Linux "no longer be a free OS." Also, the part about the lawsuit is crap. Even if they did turn Suse to not free, they couldn't sue you for using a current version of it because it's distributed freely.
