I just got a new aci maverick and after putting the bigger velocity spring in it makes it harder to pump. When i pump it back it seems to stick and is hard to pull forward, this only happenswhen the co2 is on. Is this only happening because of the bigger spring and if so is there any way i can change it without losing velocity?

Not really, the older pumps velocitys are controled by that spring. If you put a bigger spring in it, it only makes sense that its harder to pump. SO thats normal.

You can change this without losing velocity but you need to get the right spring. heres what i did, I went to my local hardware store. Went to the place they kept the springs and bought all their 10 cent or so springs that where close in size. I get a couple of each version. It costed me like $2 for like 15 springs. Then I went back home and messed around with them for like 3 hours. I cut some shorter, messed around with different sizes untell I got a really nice working spring.

If the spring is too long, when you compress it it can bend in the middle and push against the power tube
Do you have the old spring? compare the old to the new, they should be close to the same length (new maybe slightly longer)
If the spring is to long you may need to shorten it, or you may need to find the right spring for the marker (harder but same length)

he's a good source on how they work:
