Long story short over the weekend I bought a ViewLoader genesis 2 that didn't work for $20 off c-list, not being able to get to my local store till tomorrow to buy the valve and cup seal to fix it I have grown impatient. So I found a Tippmann 98 custom that was in a bit of rough shape for $30 and bought it. I took it home tore it down put a coat of paint on it, replaced all the o-rings, spring and scrubbed it super clean and oiled it.

One thing I have noticed is that the ball hopper elbow is loose. It seems to be a part of the design but not sure if it is normal to shake or if it should be solid. Also would it be a worthwhile upgrade to change out the elbow to something different?

let me know if I need to replace some stuff before I go to the shop

Thanks
Tom

They tend to be a little loose (part of the design). If it bugs you slip a O-ring over the elbow near the pins and/or just below the latch so that it fit between the body and the elbow but balls still feed.
