It seems ever since the DM4 came out a lot of newbies don't even realize what a matrix is but have heard of a DM4 due to the large advertising in magazines. I take my NYX Matrix to fields people are like "What is that heavy piece of ****?". I normally don't say anything and just let them keep guessing. If you say DM4 the n00b knows what your talking about but not a trix or a matrix. You probably all remember the shocker (shoebox). Remember when the 03 came out? Don't see too many old school shockers anymore, do you think the same will happen with the matrix? Will the old bulky look be replaced with the new DM4 look? State why you think so i'm interested in opinions here.

I hated the look of the DM4 when it first came out. Seemed like an alien laser gun to me... But that's what it is... It shoots lasers :D . Anyway, I like both the DM4 and the Dye Matrix. I remember when the old LEDs came out... Now those were bricks. But truthfully, it's all preferance... I like the DM4 trigger better in my opinion.

right when th edm4 came out, i hated it. ugly as hell. then i started to kinda like it, but i got an 04 dye trix anyways, cuz its 500 cheaper. i used it twice. shot awesome the first time, second time it didnt work at all, and the actual second time it shot, but really crazily. i think it was just the paint the second time. the reason i wrote 3 different times was cuz i technically brought it to the field, but it didnt work the whole day. so it worked twice.

well, long story short or tl;dr (i dunno what that means, but i understand y people use it and what its used for): trix broke, dm4 didnt. i know i coulda fixed the trix but i didnt feel like it. i had my local shop set the regs, and when i came home, the balls were rolling out, so i turned up the lpr, and it worked. so i just wasted 10 bux on having a tech do it and not do it right. but my dm4 kicks ass. and is lighter.. obviously
