Do think its good or bad? I think its good, it has potential to open up new markets here (example: shipping) and send labor we don't want to do somewhere else. what do you think?

horable!!!

minimal wages are lower over seas so the margen for profits increase drasticly. also overseas there are less safty standerds and union leaders are exicuted. and it takes jobs away from our own country. if u suport overseas labour u suport the exploitation of human life

Blah. if 2 dollars a day can feed the kids and pay the bills, its not exploitation. Sweat shops on the other hand...

It can be good, because it opens up new markets. Like shipping, distrubution. you also need someone to make the deal and such

We have enough problems with unemployment as it is... and no racial slurs but it is true: mexicans are taking over jobs that many americans are now to lazy to do, such as heavy labor- landscaping, construction, etc. But about overseas i am not too sure, but i think it would help corporations spend less on work, but it would take away job opportunities for other people.

Well, its an international market, meaning there will be international competition. Outsourcing only benefits when people can buy your product..

grr...

okay heres the deal..

overseas labour is justified slavery.. The Yes Men did it perfectly.. heres the deal.. we tried going to their homes and dragging them here and making them work.. but then they had to become accustomed here.. they had to have housing and had to have food and ****.. it cost more..

now they go there and they dont have to make them house, they allready have them and they are customed to that area..

they pay them pathetic insulting wages that westerns would never dream of working for

bringing in these big ass factories is assimilating cultures, justifying slavery, pumping gallons of toxins into the atmosphere, poisoning rivers and lakes, and tearing apart the foundations of foreign lifestyle.

cultures are being destroyed by westernization

its all masked behind economic agendas with the world friendly motives of pumping life into foreign economy. when really its forcing the people to switch jobs and lifestyles..

they use GDP to show that its hellping the countries.. where really the infant mortality rates are raising SO much and so is starvation and mal-nutriention.

its all in the name of profits, not helping other economies. you think the tops at corperations even give a ****, most of them have NEVER even been to those factories!

The working conditions are terrible. most of the areas have very hot climates and there is not proper ventillation or hydration.

many ignore child labour laws.

the wages they are paying these people compared to the profits they make on a single product item is so digusting.

not to mention it is stealing jobs away from america and forcing the country to become even more interdependant.

D, I agree it has its problems, but it also has potential. It can create new markets in shipping and distrubution.

Problem being is that there isn't level ground for the most part. We are developing undeveloped countrys into what we want them to be (as you said), buts still limited by a few things. you can't excessivly ship jobs or you lose a customer base. Somebody has to buy the products ya know...That will also keeps at least some jobs at home. I just wish people would intervene with the problems and make a better system out of overseas labor. It has mass potential without all the harsh side effects
