I was just wondering, does anyone know if it's legal to just stick like $5 in an envelope with a letter and send it? Or do I need some special stamp or something? Has anyone done this before? Thanks!

What are you high? Listen goofball dosn't your granny send you money for your birthday? Of course you can send money through the mail, you just have to worry about postal workers stealing it.

kinda reminds me of this story of how this guy wanted to send his friend 100 bucks over the mail, but he didnt want anyone in the post office to steal it, so he put salt in it to make it look like anthrax and told his friend that it's salt before he sent it.

yea, you definitly can but fold a piece of paper over it so it can't be seen when you hold the envelope up to the light, plus you do it at your own risk.
DANG thats a good idea.... i wish i was smart:( ;)
