Im fairly new to PB and just picked up my first marker a Proto M6 and dont know mush about it.
Havent even fired it yet. Can someone tell what year the marker is and any other info? I have searched and searched this form and cant find anything specific on the M6.
Thanks

pretty good, the PM6 as its known was made in 2006 (hence the 6 in the title) the proto line is almost identical to the dye line of balanced spool markers, high end markers not aimed at a new player, you got it for a good price the problem with high end markers more than about 3 years old is that there is not much in the way of parts anymore. there will definatly be a large learning curve on that one, id suggest downloading and looking over the manual. Also whenever buying a high end marker used i think its a very wise decision to buy a rebuild kit (these are usually only a few bucks) and go through and replace all the o-rings so you know its in top condition

just FYI on that PM6, it can not be powered by CO2, that marker, unlike the spyder you also got is HPA only

I will do my homework and get the rebuild kit, thanks. Is this marker with the stock board a semi fire only?

you mean semi-auto, and no, there are NPPL mode (semi) PSP (ramping) NXL (ramp) and milenium (if memory serves correct its kinda a mix between ramping and full auto) but you never need anything but semi-auto unless you are playing a tounement that requires one of the other modes (chances are you could not with the board that is in the PM6 anyway since a lot of the BPS that the modes that are on your board are set up to do are going to be wrong) anything beyond semi is just a waste of paint dont bother with it
