they are ok for what you get, really they are very overpriced. look into a spyder for your first marker or a piranha (they both work the same) they will be less expensive, easier to work on, lighter, smaller and faster

I've bought parts from Tippmann parts, didn't have a problem.

I'm not sure how their prices for whole guns compare with the current market.

I'd get an A-5 over the newest versions of the 98Custom...I'm not very impressed with them.

why? the a-5 uses the same technology as the 98 and has that blender they call a feeder on the side? if you must go tippmann go with the 98, get a good hopper and HPA tank that way when you do move on to a different marker you can bring those with you

The Cyclone isn't a blender until you start adding upgrades or using brittle tourney paint. If you leave the A5 stock the Cyclone keeps up just fine with the mech trigger and with the right paint breaks are kept to a minimum. I'm still not a fan of the Cyclone but as designed it isn't all bad.

its only 99% bad, being a mechanical loader and being able to feed faster than a shake and bake are its only redeeming qualities, meanwhile you cant take it on to your next marker, and it makes a quite large target. yes it works fine stock, but the tippmann upgrade treadmill is there to try and make sure every new player will not keep their marker stock

Have a Tippmann 98 Custom Platinum Pro Ultra Whatever Long-Useless-Name? They're miserable compared to the old 98C, which I love.

Buy used, get an older 98C.

I'm very well aware of this.

Quality-wise, I feel Tippmann's rank with the old 98C's first, the A-5, and at the bottom just above the plastic power-drill looking thing they made, are the newest 98 series.
