Some people say that so and so barrel is more accurate than so and so's.

What I would like to know is what paint ball guns actually do as far as group sizes (in Inches) at varying distances from 10 to 45 yards by 5 yard increments.

I have a game that I am trying to develop that uses PB guns but I don't know enough about the accuracy of the guns. Targets would be knock down when hit similar to a falling plate game. Targets would be different sizes and shapes mostly painted like one would hunt for as examples.... rabbits crows, squirrels skunks possums various birds possihbly cartoon characters just to name a few.

Also it would be helpful if anyone knew the downrange velocity of a paintball at say 20 or 30 yards when compared to the muzzle velocity.

So what I am looking for is qualitative information.

Muzzle velocity
Downrange velocity
Distance of that downrange velocity
Group size (in inches) at that range

Is there anywhere on the internet that already has this info. Can't seem to find it.

Are you wanting hard stats, or a general trend? I ask because hard stats, unless you have a LOT of them, will be mostly worthless when dealing with paintballs. Because they have a thin, solid shell with a liquid in the center, their relative performance within the same batch can even be wildly dissimilar. They can have dimples that affect their performance, a bad job of cleaing the seam between halves can affect performance, the viscocity of the fill will affect performance, slight distortions in the shell will have a huge impact on their performance, how consistently sized the paintballs are, even relative humidity of the air can affect a paintball accuracty. So you can have 20 people take PERFECT scientific tests, and come up with 20 COMPLETELY different results for accuracy, distance, and velocity.

Do some google searches. People have already done the research you need. I just can't remember the sites. Trajectories, velocities. What not.

I have done searches but haven't found anything with group sizes a different distances. At least not yet.

Thanks will try some more while waiting for other replies
