This is such an awesome game. I have been playing it almost non stop for a couple days and have almost beaten it. Imagine walking around during the middle of the night with a handgun and all the sudden a woman screams behind you. You turn around and a woman with a stained apron and a bloody knife raised above her head races towrds you. You kill her then her more screams you turn left and see 30-40 villagers armed with dynatmite pitchforks and axes sprinting towrds you, hell bent on ripping your head off your shoulders. That is RE4, that is one of the greatest games ever made.

Anybody else like it this much?

I got it a couple weeks ago and played it tons. It was pretty easy, but it was hella scary(but still fun). The second time I played through I beat it in 12 hours, and it took me 18 the first time.

Now I have a fully upped broken butterfly, blacktail, striker, semi-auto rifle, and a chicago typewriter, and am about 1/4 of the way through my 3rd play.

dude i love that game, though it was weird. The RE games never frightened me much or left bad impressions. It had some eiry ****, but this game left we with a bad vive the whole time playing it, like ti was slightly more twisted. Till the end cuzz at the end it was just fun. except those spikey super zombie things where you gotta thermal lense em. the first time i fought one i didn't realize you couldn't just blast em so i died. Though i was kinda disappointed in teh fact that the first part you get to the main town and all of em come out and the guy with the chain saw, i thought the whole game was going to be huge mobs like and the cabin fight. To my sadness it wasn't

The first time I played, I didnt see the chainsaw villager. He was pretty fun tho. I really enjoyed the cabin fight tho...luis was awesome. Was it just me or was the final battle way to easy? I only had to use my handgun...

hehe i used my handgun and knife on the eyeball if that counts. Though seriously the easiest fight was either the little guy "salazar" i think that wore the little napoleon suit. and the final form of Kaiser. seriously i don't know if it was a glitch or something but with Kaiser i just got in this one corner shot his legs and head bunch and he never got a hit on me. and neither di Salazar when he did the whole transformation wiht his little bug trooper. Though the bug things wearing the robes kick ass especially when being chased in the under ground trying to get the elevator to go. If you ahve the chicago typewriter i hear it's pretty easy to kill, if not you can out run it which i did.

that game failed to scare me seriously but still was one of the best games out thier. I dont like the first village part. The Best part is the merchant "what are you selling" "what are you buying" eh...Ill buy that at a high price" "come back anytime"

I loved shooting the Merchant. Sometimes, I would save it then buy the mine thrower or the rocket launcher, kil him, then reload the game and keep going.

heheh, great game. I sorta wished there was a better arena and stuff, not timed, but you had to barricade a house, and hold off attacks or something like that, sorta like a sandbox. but oh well, good game none the less. My brothers beaten it to 100%, got all the crazy extra weapons and all that crap, i didnt have the patience.

Yeah I just beat the campaign and just got my first 5-star on Mercs (Wesker in the Merc. Camp) and almost beat Assignment Ada.

EDIT: Has anyone here gotten 5-Stars on all the Merc. Missions with all of the characters, if so could you give me some tips, I'm having a ***** of a time beating it.

Was not scary at all. Even at 3 A.M. in the morning with all the lights turned off with your back against nothing while on this page: http://lindsaylohannekkid.ytmnd.com/

And no, that link isn't what it sounds like. The creator just made that title to attract people.

I was very pleased with the new gameplay though. The over the shoulder look is great. But it gets really frustrating when you are surrounded by the villagers and trying to take them all out. The weapons and you move slow, and even when doing the 180 turn, more just come behind you.

my brothers gotten 5 stars, look for extra time, memorize the map, use grenades and flashbangs and shotguns and stuff. Take them out in large number, throw grenades in centers of groups, single file them and just blast them all in the head down a hall. stuff like that.

That is why you always try to keep your back to some sort of wall. Very rarely did any ganados even have a chance to get my back. After you get the shotgun the villagers are nothing tho. It keeps them down for long enough that you dont have to worry about it.

on mercs, Kaiser is by far the easiest to get a 5 star, go to the level with the Super Chain saw dudes. you can kill them wiht one hit w/ his mutation attack. plus the bow owns if you are good with it.

i was never really good at resident evil games but i always loved watching my bro play them. Thing i didn't like the most about this game was the camera angle. If they wanted it to be first person then put it first person or if they wanted 3rd person put it in their original 3rd person view. I just didn't like the over the shoulder.

I thought they did a good job with the camera angles. But the game is so set apart in almost every aspect from the original games, i dont even think it should be called resident evil any more.
