"This may come as a shock to some parents and kids, but the new Sesame Street: Old School DVDs that were released this week come with the following disclaimer at the beginning, read by a cartoon character:

"Welcome to Sesame Street Nostalgia. I am Bob, your host, and I want you to know that these early Sesame Street episodes are intended for grown-ups and may not meet the needs of today's pre-school child."

Um...huh?"

WTFXUP with that?

I wonder, if Sesame Street isn't safe, than:

Barney isn't for little kids either. The image of a large dinosaur is too scary.

Neither is Thomas the Tank Engine, because it might make kids want to play around train tracks.

Blue's Clues isn't either, I fear children might try to pet random blue dogs.

Come on, you've got to be kidding me. I really fear for future generations. If they can't cope with a different character on Sesame Street, how are they going to cope with life? What a joke.

When I was a kid I used to watch the Three Stooges and Merrie Melodies with my dad. About as close to random senseless violence as you can get. Even with that, I think I turned out okay.=0

thats what happens when a bunch of concerened parents get too much power. The parents from the 70s would laugh at how much concern the ones from today have
