I think that going to extremes on any of the sizes will give you problems. Besides that, nah, it's not that critical. I've tested paint in different size backs on my scepter and besides sqeezzing it with a .684 or going large with a .694 I didn't see much difference. That was one test though.

Yes paint to barrel size does matter, if you pick to small of a barrel size and have bigger paint its not going to go as far or as be as accurate. If you get a barrel to big and go with small paint thier going to be alot of innacuracy, most players just go with .689 and its the most commonly used size

Bore to paint match is extremly important. But also i use a 16 inch barrel and sometimes a 14 inch barrel. Although i wont go over 16 inches i think 18 inch barrels arnt that great. But my 16 inch barrel shoot a lot further than say a 12 inch barrel. so it just kind of depends what position u play.
