Solenoid!

Arrg...my new trix just busted a noid the other day...pressure was a little bit too high...damn me...Anyway, I'm pretty sure the soelnoid busted because the air is leaking from the back of the gun...How long will it take an airsmith to fix this and how much?
Thanks!

I think the last time i looked it cost about 60-80 dollars for a new solenoid. If you buy it from the air smith they usually install it for free. It should only take about a half hour to install.
did u just blow a gasket? if u did, its not to much to fix. u probably need a new noid though
if its just leaking from the back plate check your stem orings....that doesnt mean you've blown a noid
check your orings first dude. i've accidently run way too much pressure (800psi) through my trix and the orings were fuked and that it.
800 PSI? jesus, I'm surprised it did Grow legs and kick you ass. j/m man, but thats a heck of alot of pressure to put into one.

Noids are an easy fix dude, Just screw in and connect to your board.

800 psi? Who said that? It was more like 300.
kola said 800. and its prolly just your orings.
Oh, ok, I thought he thought that I put 800 thru.
i just blew a noid in mine too i think....i know it's not the bolt o-rings, just checked um, and i was wondering how do you know if you blew the noid? I have taken the think apart and noticed that the 2 orange plastic pieces were broken...is that the only thing? When i put air through it, it leaks like crazy out of the sides of the trigger frame...and when you blow a noid, what exactly do u blow? When i air it up my gun seems to make a hissing noise(loud) out of the trigger frame and it comes in like a cycle...like a uh....psssspsssspsssspsssspssss real real quick, but when i took the solenoid out and took it apart i'm thinking now that i might just need some grease on that thing...but i might not know what i'm talkin about! help me out fellas!
you know on the bolt where tehres 3 orings rigth next to eachother? change the middle one.

Luisdude nalied it. Change that o ring and then if that doesnt work pull out your manual and go to the trouble shooting section. 90% of the time that'll tell you exactly what o ring to change based on where the air is coming from. If that doesnt work (I bet it's that center o ring though) then change the other rings it tells you to and if that doesnt work it might be the solenoid.

The other problem o rings are usually the front and back insides of the beer can, the two small stem o rings on back of the bolt stem and I found my o ring on the front of the bolt was chopping, so I just put the size below the normal o ring size on it. To explain that the o ring was rolling every once in a while up into the ball feed. since changing it to a smaller size my trix has been running smooth as butter.

Also use your slick lube liberally.

here's a picture....at first i thought u were talking about the beer can....but there is only 2 on the beer can. Also there are not any o-rings insides the beer can either if i'm correct.... SO what 3 o-rings are u talking about?

Hold on, your internals look totally different from mine. Do you have an 05 or is that an older one

It was late when I wrote my reply. There aren't really two in the beer can. Let me distinguish there's a clear one inside the front of the beer can and a clear one inside the front of the top hat (17s). In my haste to write I just thought both were in the beer can (theres two in the top hat and two 17's (one in top hat and one in beer can), so thats what I was thinking about). My gun, about 500 shots into using it started leaking out the barrel and the ball feed. After replacing those o rings the problem was fixed. So to tell you what I replaced, I replaced #'s 13 (back of top hat) and 17 (there are two 17's one in the beer can and one in the top hat) and placed a smaller ring on #14. 14-bolt tip 17- inside beer can (front wall internal) 17- inside front of top hat 13- inside back of top hat

Oh and the three O rings we were talking about were on the bolt. On the new matrixs the front o ring and back o ring are for bolt detent and the center one is called the bolt sail. I can see your sail, but not the detents. It's that one on your bolt. (looks like it's alone on yours) If your gun is leaking from the frame I would recomend changing the bolt sail and your outer rings on the beer can.
If it's still leaking call dye. Their customer service is great.

If the frame is leaking change the bolt sail and those two on the beer can. If you need help knowing which ones those are I can see them right now so just ask. If that doesnt work call dye.
blah still leaks....gotta be the noid mates
change the one on the bolt that stands out like the on on the piece labled bolt, well at least i would think it would have the same effect on that bolt as it does on the dm4/5/proto bolts because i was having the same problem on my proto, i swithced the oring and no more leak fromt the solenoid
the sail? Ya i changed it. It leaks really really bad though....i had to have blown it
where exactly is it leaking from? because if u changed the bolt sail and it is stil leaking through the grip frame it is definatley your noid unless it oculd be your big orings on the beer can but i doubt it best bet is to go get it checked out or call dye
