Too tired to start this in earnest, just a teaser to start. Might kick this into a blog post (might make it easier, rather than having 50 threads of nonsense on here). Anyways, I'm finally going to overhaul a marker with a mix of mods, third-party parts, and completely custom stuff (eyes, control board, etc).

Got the first (of two) Imagines today, tore 'er down and cleaned all but the trigger frame. More to come.

I'm pretty much killing my idea already by making this post, but what if you were to make one post(this one) only for the pictures and updates, and a separate one designated for comments and such?

Gonna blog it up and leave this as an update/comments thread. Waiting on the second Imagine to come in so I have more material to work with.

Planned itinerary;

- Break down and cleaning
- Rebuild best marker of the two (mix and match parts, for instance the bolt on this one is broken, it's missing a bolt pin, etc)
- Hammer mod
- Body mod (trim off excess metal, etc)
- Bolt mod
- Trigger mod(s)
- Custom circuit board
- Drill and add eyes
- Standard hopper into electric hopper, tying to marker's circuit board
- Possible mask mods (feedback from marker, shots fired, etc)
- Finishing touches (paint strip & anno/powdercoat/paint)

There's a lot on the list of things to do, and I want to take it piece by piece, but once I have the parts in I can (hopefully) spend a few weekends getting some of the steps out of the way. I'll update the original post as needed.

Finally back into now that work/life has calmed down a bit. Status update:

Break down and cleaning: Done. The blue Imagine was quite dirty. The green/silver one (not pictured) was much cleaner and in better shape. Which brings us to...
Rebuild best marker of the two: Done. I pulled the clamping feedneck, anti-chop bolt, and board from the pictured Imagine for use in the 'newer' green and silver one. I almost have enough parts to build another Imagine (with the left over parts from the two) but not quite. The only downside is that both capacitors on the boards were bad (one distended, one leaking a small amount) but luckily it's a pretty simple fix.

Mods:
I plan on going Low Pressure first and foremost, playing around with some Reballs to test different setups, then going balls-out (see what I did there? Because it's paintballs...) and doing something really unique. First, I need to obtain a semi-cheap 3D printer so I can start creating my own parts, then the real fun begins.
