So I was heading to my locker after 6th period and hear some people talking about a stabbing. Apparently this crazy kid brought like a 12 inch knife to school. He stabbed a kid twice 1 in the stomach the other in the back, I didn't actually get to see it but it's pretty crazy. The took the kid to the hospital and I guess the cops basically man handled the kid who did the stabbing. As for the kid that did the stabbing I'm not sure what will happen to him what do you guys think? I haven't a clue what happens to someone in this situation.

I forgot to mention that are school is all about sports.. so it seems like very little money is spent on anything besides, so we don't have any type of security other than the like 3 random cops. I'm wondering if this may be a wake up call. Possibly metal detectors? It wont feel the same on Monday, I don't think anyone will feel safe.

Did the kid have a reason or problem with the kid that he had stabbed?

He'll never go back to any school anywhere, and if one of the kids ends up dying from his wounds he'll probably stay in jail until he's at least 40.

we only have like, 2 cops at our school and last week there was even a bomb threat, and we still went to school...its so dumb, but its like our community is so small, they just take safety for granted. a 12''knife? must have been some sort of kitchen thing i bet.

Some kid was fatally stabbed in Massachusetts. It happened within the week, it was on the news today.

Anyhow, there was a stabbing at my public high school. The kid was stabbed in the back and went to the nurse and said, "My back hurts." He wasn't aware it was a stabbing until the nurse told him. The po-po were called in. Actually, they are always at the school, so they just brought them to the office I suppose. The kid that did it was caught. Him and the victim had an ongoing beef, not sure what it was about though. I know the kid that was stabbed, but I haven't talked to him since the stabbing. The kids guardian was pretty much freaking out. He was demanding stonger security, and he e-mailed several parents and he got a whole bunch of concerned parents together. They held meetings and got the board in on it. The cops and security at the school have always carried wands, but now they are going to randomly wand kids. The principal (my other friends father) said there will be no metal detectors. He did not want to turn the place into a prison.

depends on how old he is, but they would prolly charge him with premeditated (sp?) if someone does die.
It varies state-to-state. Here, for instance, murder is murder. We don't have varying degrees, or any "premeditated" charge. If someone dies and it's not like in self defense or an accident (aka manslaughter) then you're going 30-life. If it's murder plus a related felony charge, you get upgraded to the line to get various needles stuck in your arm.

the cops at your school only carry wands? ours carry guns, but we had 6 fights today, so that kinda tells you why. This year has been crazy at our school. We've had two incedents with guns brought to school, numerous knives, 4 bomb threats, and probably 60-70 fights.

We don't have any cops at my school...
They are like less than 2 minutes of a drive away though. Nothing ever happends at my school other than my fight freshman year after baseball where I got slapped with a metal cleat and had a gash on my back. Not many people knew or talked about it though. Only 1 or 2 people saw me walk out of hte school with blood on my shirt lol.

God damn that hurt.

Uhh, no. The security guards have wands. THE cops are equipped with that a cop has on normal duty. So yes, they have guns. And those 4 bomb threats really isn't much compared to this school. There are way to many kids there. There are around 3800. That may not seem like a large number, but it is the cities only high school and its tiny.

My school has only about 350 kids in it. The entire town has about 1000, and there is only one middle school feeding into it. It is great. Everyone knows everyone, and there has never been any stabbing or shooting. The worst thing that has happened in the entire district is in 6th grade some kid got hauled off by the fuzz because he brought his paintball gun to school on a Friday to paintball over the weekend. He didn't even take it out of his backpack, just a teacher saw it and freaked out. He didn't even have paint!!! Also last year a kindertener got suspended for having a butter knife. My school is awesome!!!

Back on 2000,some kid made a pipe bomb and put shrapnel in it, and put it in the boys locker room at our school. The bomb squad had to be called in to blow it up.

Highschool society really sucks. It really is ****ing barbaric sometimes. Then again, the whole human race is barbaric.

brought his paintball gun to school
I've brought:

My SL-68 II, which looks like a shotgun
A friends minimag

and last month I brought an 18" Machete to school. Just threw it in my backpack and walked in the front door. Of course, I brought my guns to the shop to do some modifications, and the machete I brought in to make a custom leather sheath and to get 50 years of oxidation off the blade.

Of course, my shop teacher knew... The paintball guns I just brought in on my own, but I had to come before school with the machete and picked it up after school.
