I have a Tippman 98 Custom that I have modified with a cyclone feed and response trigger. The problem that I am facing is that I cannot increase the fps past 250. It doesn't matter whether I tighten the screw on the side of the gun or loosen it the gun maintains 236-250fps. The R-trigger has never been very consistent. At best I'll get a burst of three or four balls before I have to pull the trigger again. I don't if this is part of my problem. The cyclone feed works perfectly.

Any ideas on what I should do?

Take off the barrel and add a few drops of paintball oil or air tool oil into the ASA (where the tank screws in). Connect your air tank and fire off a few shots to distribute the oil through the marker. You might also just need to buy a spring kit and replace the main spring.

Make sure to oil the front/rear bolt o-rings as well. They should be accessible without disassembling the marker. Are you using co2? If it's cold out that could be the problem.
