Hey everyone. I'm new to paintballing and I got a really cheap deal for the tippmann 98c. I got an additional barrel other than the stock. I'm not sure what it is but one of the salesman at the paintball shop recommended it (it was used). Today I did woodsball (thats all I'm planning to do), and I wasn't too impressed by the barrel. I have an original hopper and no stock. What do you guys think should I get for the gun? What kind of upgrades should I make and can you guys tell me how much it would cost?

It's all personal preference, but the barrel is pretty much a must. Invert too is a great hopper, and can be used on any gun, which is very good. The stock is optional, and the HPA is also optional. I say get the barrel and the hopper and play with it some, and then decide whether you want to get more stuff. :)

for a 98, i wouldnt worry about a stock, just put the tank into your shoulder and it'll work just fine, i also wouldnt worry about a feeder yet, as you probably wont be shooting fast enough to need anything more than a shake n bake (unless you want to pretty much completely avoid chops in which case, a loader would do you good) a barrel is a good call, and i'd hold on on the 68/45 till you get some time under your belt and know wether you plan on sticking with it and upgrading to a different gun, or if you're gonna drop paintball altogether.. that way you spend less money initially, and wont really lose all that much if you do decide it isnt for you.

Alright thanks. Today I was just using the tank as a stock, but I'm probably going to end up changing my barrel. So you would say J&J ceramics is the best choice? Is that really the only mod/upgrade I should make?
