I can't really imagine a situation where that would realistically happen. If you're that close, just unload on him; you're bound to get a handful out of the barrel intact. I don't really know if that would count, splatter doesn't normally count but it's still coming out of a barrel; my best guess is that it would be up to ref discretion.
They wouldn't allow that in a tourney; even if they did, you can only carry one setup a time. That would be kind of silly to have a gun that's only useful within a couple feet. Plus, it's a whole lot simpler to just... shoot them normally.
