I want to try to design my own sig (and maybe a few other things). I used to have Photoshop 6.0 (got it from a friend *cough* pirated *cough*), but I can't remember what I did with it. I probably gave it back to him. Anyway, what do you guys use for your photo/image editing purposes. I really don't want to spend $600 on a computer program that I might not like. I want something relatively cheap, but still powerful and versatile. Any suggestions?

Adobe Photoshop CS. If I make something that moves or blinks or whatever, I will use Photoshop CS and Animation Shop 3. I am starting to play with Adobe Image Ready.

Man. You guys all have the expensive programs. Can I "loan" it for a little while? :naughty

J/K (unless you really want to). Anybody have any experience with that Gimp program? How is it?

My dad is really into digital photography and has his own little business off to the side...that's the only reason why I have photoshop. Before I installed it on my computer, I downloaded Paint Shop Pro off of Limewire.

Okay...I just "loaned" a version of Photoshop 7.0 (argh!), and I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing. I can't figure out how this program works. =( Is there any sort of guide for how to use the basics of Photoshop (that is less than 100 pages long).

Basically just like photoshop except free. Takes a while to get use to but I still use photoshop since I'm more use to it.
