So what exactly does it do? Whats the difference between on and off and a normal one? I have the normal one on my carver one (Im pretty sure) and wasn't quite sure what the difference is. Does it do anything special?
It degasses the system without having to unscrew your bottle, which is convenient and a lot easier on bottle o-rings.
Do note that some marker regulators will hold enough air for a shot or two even after degassing and removing an air tank. Always use the utmost caution with paintball markers.
the main advantage is if you nolonger have air in front of your tank pushing against it, then unscrewing it is much much easier and as riddller stated easier on o-rings not to mention the threads on your tank
they are also handy if anything happens to go wrong with the marker and it is venting air, instead of having to unscrew the tank all the way out its just a few screws of a knob to stop the flow
So basically if you're playing and you decide you're done you switch it off or something then you just unscrew it? Or pop the trigger a couple times till your markers outta air? And its better on the oring?
Have you ever noticed that when you screw on your tank, it can get hard to screw in all the way when it starts to gas up your marker?
With the on/off asa, you can keep you marker completely degassed until the tank is screwed in all the way, and then turn your ASA on and gas up your marker
Also works in reverse when you want to take your tank off. Turn your ASA off and than your tank can easily be detached!
It maybe a bit hard to understand now, but once you use a good quality on/off ASA with purge, you'll know what we all mean
