i only have $60 to get a new hopper. right now i am just getting back into paintball. all i play is woodsball but a new place opened up about an hour or two away so i think that i will start going there. i find that i chop balls alot with my current hopper/gun setup. i want to keep my gun as it is extremely durable and reliable, and also rather acurate with long range. i have a mokal fokus vx 2k3 (ill bet that none of you ever heard of it) and it is great. im gunna get the elctronic trigger deal for it, so that when i need to, i can lay down a good fast wall of paint. the way that i play woodsball is alot of sneaking and i need to be able to unload very quickly when neccesary. i need a hopper with above 12 bps feed speed. here are the ones i have found. what do you guys think that i should go with.

veiwloader revolution 12v - black or smoke
odessy halo frontman led tsa paintball loader - black
diablo halo frontman led tsa paintball loader - black
turbo spyder loader - olive, this one sounds interesting, but not to great
or perhaps a vl evolution II, but the feed neck looks kinda weak with all the weight on it. but if it is really that good, then i might shell out a bit more $$

so, which would be the best? i dont need an lcd screen or anything. but i want the loader to agitate only when i fire, or when the neck is empty or whatever. i read that some loaded when they heard fire, would that happen if someone else were to fire? because then it might give away my position.
a fast reply to this would be nice.

thanks for all the help guys

look in the buy/sell/trade forum on here and on pbnation for a used Evolution2. You can find them in the range of $35-40. Or new 12v revolution hoppers are 19.99 from firstcallpaintball.com

by the way, accuracy has NOTHING to do with how long your barrel is. Accuracy has to do with how your barrel bore matches with the bore size of the paintballs.

Search google for "Barrel bore size chart"

For your setup a revvy would probably suffice. They average about 11bps, and will hit 13. Light and small, can't beat it for $20. Also very simple/reliable. If you think you need more speed (probably don't) than an egg is about all thats in your price range. Don't bother with a halo tsa, they're no better than a revvy and fugly.

okay, so it seems that i should get a 12v revvy. isnt it pretty much just a gravityfed hopper that shakes a little bit whenever it cant see balls in the hopper neck?

Brockoli, i know all about how bore/pb diameter relationship affects accuracy. so far i have found that with a ball that is slightly too small it will be more accurate but just not fire as far.

splatwithhonor3, why is it that the halo and diablo tsa loaders are so bad. it seems like they are exactly the same as a revvy but have the little tilt to side thing going for them. i dont think that they are very fugly, at least not any more than any of the other hoppers.

Paintball3691, what is pbx2? what did you think of the gun? seems to me like it is just a canadian made spyder. nothing very special. it seems to be very durable though. i know that i dont need anything superfast with mech, but im getting an electronic trigger frame thing (i dunno the correct name. help me out here.) and then i will be getting at least 10 balls per second.

so, what about this one? seems like it would be good for woodsball. cant figure out how it works though.

anyone ever even heard of it?

thanks

pbx2 is a paintball magazine

i havent actually shot it, but im guessing its an ok starter gun

link doesnt work

but anyways, revys are great for mechs because they arent fast shooters and revys only do about 12 balls and are only $30

its actually pb2x.

revvy's are better than halo tsa's because they are a lot cheaper and the profile on them is smaller.

harris: your understanding of the revolution is pretty much correct. When the eyes inside the feedneck don't detect paint, the loader's paddle actuates and spins so that more balls are put inside the feedneck.

i havent been able to find a black revvy for any less than a black halo or diablo tsa frontman or backman. if you guys are all talking about those weird colorchanging ones, i dont think that i am going to go for those. I kinda need to stay incospicuous (sp) because I do woodsball and sit in wait for unexpecting opponents to come within range before lighting them up. For that reason I cannot have a bright red or blue loader. I suppose that I could just paint it, but I would rather not, because I might mess it up.

So pretty much, nobody likes the Halo TSA because the profile is a little bit bigger than the revvy? That seems pretty retarded to me.

i have a halo tsa backmen

holds ~220 balls

they arent bad, its just that they look a little strange and they cost a lot for almost the same thing as a revy

I'm kind of apprehensive about dealing on the BST forum because I don't want to get scammed. And I cannot afford to be scammed. Right now I can hardly afford to buy paint and CO2 for my marker. A hopper is something that I think that I need, because it would help me to fire faster without chopping so much paint. The Halo TSA sounds good because alot of the time I am lying down, leaning around trees, and I need to fire fast because otherwise I wont be able to get up fast enough. The whole "spin in the correct direction" thing sounds good, but does it really do anything? I almost think that getting a true forcefeed hopper would help more, because it would keep the neck full, instead of just shaking a little bit.

you sound like you're strapped for cash. The halo tsa will be about $50. look at online stores for black revolutions. They should be about $30-35 at most. search around. The tsa would be fine if you absolutley couldn't find a revvy for cheaper than $45-$50.

Mostly, users on pbnation are very responsible. some tips about dealing on there.

1. Good feedback?
2. Do they use professional manner and language in their posts?
3. Do they have pictures?
4. Have you contacted them through pm's or aim?

If they have satisfied these 4 instructions, you'll be fine. I have never had a deal go sour on pbnation or here.

I am going to need an electric hopper for my imagine sometime. I was looking at either the empire reloader 2 or the revvy. Opinions?
