Im in ****ing summer school. My damn guidance counselor said i wasnt going to be in it, but i just got called by HER saying i was. Before any of you say i should have worked harder, I was working pretty damn hard, and its math so its not like its easy, and i had an unlicensed (sp?) teacher. Now i have to wake up every morning at god damn 9 oclock and learn math for 2 hours. And i passed the goddamn class. Theres no way im gonna be able to put up with this all summer.. /rant

Im going there monday to fill out the paperwork, which is where im going to argue with them, i got screwed over, im gonna try not to let that slide. i doubt it will do much good though. only reason im going to go to summer school is because i cant afford to have 2 math classes next year.

well you can argue about the teacher. but the thing is, you should have said something during the year if you really thought that was the problem. they would have just fired the teacher if he/she was not tenured. its illegal to let an unlicensed teacher teach a class, because there is no way the school board would allow that

i have argued this teacher several times, very strongly. the administrators just give you the whole "when your working you might not like your boss etiher" BS. Yes, you can work unlicensed, during that period you take classes and stuff and while your teaching you gain qualification and such, my science teacher was telling me about it. im going to argue the fact that my ****ing guidance person lied to me, and told me that i was in the clear from summer school, even if i did fail the regents. Oh yeah, and our school system is the worst excuse for a school system iv ever seen, last year at the end of the year the ENTIRE math department left the school, so we are ALL stuck with brand new math teachers, who all suck. Soon enough the school will realize how badly theyv ****ed up.

its just a hastle, im not worried much about the times and stuff, its the fact that i have to go and learn more every day. and math is something that will never ever apply to me, im going to go to school for art, and im almost positive i wont need to use any of those damn trig formulas to find a canvas size.

Psht, I had two English classes at the same time last year because I failed one freshman year and never made it up, so I sat in a freshman class as a senior for one period a day. THAT = suck.

If you passed then you shouldn't have to make the class up.

Just don't go. I would know man I had 6 D's for my semester grades and I don't have to take summer school.

Two of my teachers are trying to make me pay for books

One of them is just being strict (she's nice though, just following the rules). The binding was ripped when I got it, and I wrote OK in the space. BEcuaseI wrote OK, I have to get it replaced. I didnt damage it.

The other one is claiming I lost a book. I turned in a book with a different number then the one he has on file. He doesnt like me at all. He said to me face" I'm going to enjoy failing you", then I bet him one point on my final average that im not failing right now"...

Anyways, we got new books halfway through the year. Some of them were new from 2003, and some of them were from 1994.

The two books had different colors (the enw one is red, old one is black). When he handed them out, he took mine away and gave me a crappy one, partly ebcuase he doesnt like me, partly becuase I really didnt care (I could have told him to screw and give me a new book).

The book had a different number.. Now he wants me to pay $60 for the new book.

My stepdad works for a printing company so hes gonna fix the first book. And my history teacher is going to either a) screw, or b) give me the book I turned in back, and I'll give him $60.

I'm in the same spot as Alpha, I turned it 3 ****ing English books, but none of them were mine. I never checked out a book at the beginning of the year, I just took someone elses, but somehow I had a book assigned to me. Now I am being sued for 70 dollars.

well, i called my guidance counselor to find out wtf happened, she said i misunderstood what she said, then she said it again, and i misunderstood again. so she explained further, and it made sense. my last quarter grade messed me up, plus my failing regents, the way she put it was taht i had passed enough quarters to pass for the year if i pass 4th quarter, put she never said if i passed quarter, so i thought no worries if i mess up 4th. well, i did mess up, and didnt worry, and thats why im in summer school. Im pretty pissed though, if she had told me that i definitely wouldnt have failed, i thought i was in the clear regardless. So i yelled at her because i shouldnt have understood, she cut out half of what i needed to know.
anyway, im gonna just go to this bull****, since i DID fail the regents, and its not like im going to pass it the second time around, so i might as well learn it and get the stupid POS over with.
