Whats my 4th upgrade

OK i have been reading these forms for awhile, and trying to deciede what my next upgrade should be EDIT ops i have a 98 custom, that might help

What i have; Reloader 2 (no more miss fires i love it oh its like heaven) 32 Degrees : Terminator Barrel in 14 inch, and anti sifen for my co2 tank.

I dont want to shoot any faster then i am now, no need to, as i play mainly woods ball, and snipe/ambush

I dont want to go to high compressed air so thats out, along with the egrip thing.

So i ask you whats left?? i am thinking about a new front bolt, mine is showing some good wear on it. But its not toooooo important. How about a stock, but i dont want to go remote co2 so from what i have hear stocks dont work with co2 tanks, ie they get in the way.

I am at a loss, i was think that i could use 2 9oz tanks on the field and use a stock with them, switching out when one runns dry, this way i have a small tank in the way not some huge one.

ps i was thinking about the rocket cock, why not cant hurt? And oh i plan on painting my tippy with a green/black cammo by hand.

Thanks

if you want a stock, and dont want to go remote, (like me), then check out either the proteam intruder foregrip, which is on xpaintball.com, or the cmi expansion chamber with built in asa. i have the cmi one, it was cheaper, but have not found it on any paintball site anywhere, im starting to think its one of a kind lol. anyways, if it helps, the foregrip positions the tank kinda like a dropforward, but much more forward, and not a lot of drop, if any. the tank screws into the foregrip directly, which means you need the tippmann vertical adaptor. the grip is an expansion chamber too, a two stage i think, which means better shot to shot conssistency. the grip gives you perfect gun balance, allows you to use a stock, and helps you ignore the tank all together. the whole thing for me, with both the adaptor and the grip was a little over 70 dollars, but i think its worth every penny.

HPA is a real upgrade... it's regged.. I know you don't want to do it but.. or get a reg that can work with CO2..
Spella Smell,
HPA is the best upgrade, night and day. I have a 4500/90 with remote and I can play all day in the woods without a recharge, can pound out 200 balls with no drop or snow from the barrel. And without a Flatline Barrel Woodsball Sux!-) Makes a huge difference picking Sallies out of bushes with one shot vs. a few. Flatline is the upgrade I would recommend if you refuse to go HPA. wave:

I would look at getting a rocket cock. It keeps your gun cleaner and will quiet it a little bit.
i wouldnt suggest getting a rocket cock, arnt that great except for the fact that they keep dirt out of your gun, back when i had a tippy i never worried about getting a rocket cock i just took it apart and cleaned it, i rather use a couple min. of labor than 20-40 bucks of plastic

that sounds good i am going to look at that stuff and see if i might like it, Thanks for helping me with the tank and stock problem. Most likly i will be doing that.

For the rocket cock i was getting it for two reasons one to give my tippmann a different look the next to hopefully quiet it some, i have never gotten enough dirt in the bolt area to have it be a problem, plus i do clean my tippy each time i go out. And i found it for $17.00 so its not that bad

HPA i am not saying its a bad upgrade i just dont have as many places to fill the tanks up, plus i like co2 just because. And all my friends use it, so we can switch tanks if we need to.

ps i never get snow in my barrel i think its because of the tank mod

update, i have looked at it, looks cool plus, good way to get around the stock problem, the only thing is it looks like it would give you really bad balance, maybe i am just pictureing it wrong in my head :?

up-update ok i found some pics with the thing on a 98custom, i still thinks it makes front heavy but everyone says it makes it better balance wise, i guess i just need to hold it to prove it to me. Thnanks i think i will get this with the stock and v adapter.

Now just have to figure out which stock hehe

yeah the xchamber comes with the stock upgrade so thats two for that,

about the flatline, my friend has a A-5 flatline and we have shot side by side and to tell you the trueth i did not see $100 worth of 'betterness" in his flatline maybe $10, who knows he might of just had the wrong balls

why not get a double trigger? They make it much easier to shoot.

After I got my ion I couldn't even shoot my brothers tippmann the trigger is just so small get a double trigger and a expansion chamber. The flatline is pointless you will chop paint unless you drop 60$ a case. Get a Progressive barrel from SP.

That is a good move and i got an old Progressive that has been rolling around my gear bag for a little while

but instead of the chamber i would get a palmers stablizer so that you get better constantce(sp?) from shot to shot. Mostly because your not planing on doing any realy fast shooting so you don't have to worry about your CO2 as much.

I personally hate double trigger, one is enough for me, i have used it and can see no good in it. Now when i say see no good in it i mean FOR ME, the only thing double trigger does is shot fast and is easyer because you can use 2 fingers. But for me i like heavy triggers, i fire reall guns and i am used to a 10 lb pull so the tippmanns what 5lb, is easy for me. Plus when i grab a gun in real life i dont want to forget that there is no duoble trigger. And remember i only shot 500 balls max a day, so its not like i am moveing through 2000 rounds. I shot when i see a kill, and shoot when i need there heads down, i dont spray and pay (left the r out on purpose). I rather have my finger on the grip and gain more control then the extra finger on my trigger too. I get about 2 to 3 kills on the games i play so thats good enough. It is nice to sneak across the field and get out 8 players with 8 shots in the back, after you walked up to them. Hehe

ok now about the progressive, is it really an better then my barrel, i shot straight enough now, hell of a lot better then stock, almost equal to a flatline for straightness?? In fact a flatline only shoots farther then mine.

I have ordered the proteam foregrip, i think this will make a good 4th mod as it will change my balance and later when i get my stock the tank will be out of the way. The foregrip is nice because it is 3 things in one. plus if i dont like it i can just sell it.

After i got my reloader 2 i have been real happy with my tippy in the proformance wise area, it shoots when i pull the trigger and goes straight, i am happy, thats why i got the foregrip not so much for proformance but for "looks" and "feels"

I live in cal so i never play in really cold weather, i think after my xchamber comes in my co2 will be stable enough, right now it moves 20+ - or 10 +- not really sure on fps, and thats not that big of a deal too me.

I know what you're talking about in your first post, but its Siphon, not sifen.

Anyways, a HPA tank (N2 or Compressed Air) is your next upgrade...then, after that, you can stick on some Dye Stickies to your grip so you can hold it better. Then get a closed bolt system (Rocket Cock II), helps keep dirt out. Also, if you really want to be steadier, you can get a stock. CO2 tanks don't get in the way of a stock, but they are a tiny, tiny bit harder to screw in, but thats nothing extending the stock will do (if you have an extendable stock).

And whats wrong with remote CO2?

Nothing is wrong with remote CO2 really, but for me i drop my gun a lot to run for the flag, or help run pods to poeple who are out. I need to drop my gun a lot, and do stuff, so i cant have a gun that is attacked to me, i also play in lots of bushes and will crawl under then to get to a nice sniper spot, most of the time i need to place my tippmann in front of me and push it ahead, as there is not enough room to hold it and move. I WANT a remote C02 but i know that after a game or two i will be taking it off. I have ordered a sling for my tippmann so i can sling it on my back when i need to or just slip it off if i need to make a mad dash to the flag, i also take off my pod harness when i need to run around , makes me smaller and easyer to run without.

HPA tank is good but me and my friends will play alot by our selfs, so if i am the only one with a HPA tank i cant switch with one of there spare tanks, or they take mine as its HPA. If we all upgrade then yeah its worth it.

About the stock i plan on getting one thats why i got the foregrip/dropforward, i am thinking of getting a folding stock, that way i can have it out when i snipe and in when i play the town field.

I also am going to try useing 9oz tanks, that will help reduce the gun profile and make it lighter to move around, I will carry a spare 9 oz in a pod in my pack with me so when i run out of Co2 i can switch then on the field. But this is later down the road.

Right now i am looking more for mods that fit the way i play, not so much for upgrades that turn my marker into a speedball gun.

I will have to look up those grips never heard of them before

By the way thanks to everyone that has helped me. Really thanks there were a lot of great ideas. I will throw up a pic when my upgrades are done
