I know the stabilizer is better but its much more money than the torpedo.
In the future I do plan to go HPA but not for a while. Which do you reconmend for my xtra.
Do they both work with both HPA and CO2 and what is the max pressure they can both work under.
thanks

Do not get the torpedo unless you are running LP on your Spyder. The Palmers costs a great deal more than a torpedo, but you will not be disappointed. I believe that the max output on the torp is 300psi, and the stabs max output is 900psi. A Spyder requires around 800psi to cycle.

Yah, the torp wont work on a stock spyder. I am pretty sure it runs higher than 300 psi, but I am not sure how high it went. I think it was 600, but I cant remember.

If you do some home mods like polishing the internals and stuff, then you can get your pressrue down to at least 600 psi. www.ottersccustoms.com

The BL Torpedo is typically listed with an output range of 0-500psi. Usually, you run a reg at least 100psi from the high/low limits. Actually, BL's Intimidator manual says 200-300psi, which I assume is for the Torpedo. You'd need a new valve/valve pin to use the Torpedo, most likely.

I use an Ergo-reg on my Imagine and older Autococker. The Imagine runs in the 325psi neighborhood (valve and pin) and the Autococker at just under 400psi. Using the same reg, my nefew's near-stock (Spud bolt/Assault Block) Imagine runs no lower than 600psi.

My newer Autococker runs at about 225psi with a Stabilizer on HPA. I used it at a much higher pressure with my old Autococker on CO2 and it regulated well both ways. The Stabilizer is excellent at any pressure and gas. If you can swing it, do it.

I dont know where I am at now (psi wise) but this is what I have so far.
polished internals
removed venturi
drilled out (VA, ASA, Xchamber(basically through grip))
just got my rocket valve in but didnt want to put it in yet bc I dont know where my pressure is.

I will be ordering the spudnik when I order the BL torpedo.
(seems the better way for the price.)
