Guys I need some help.

A while ago, I set up my wireless internet connection to my laptop, and it's been great all this time. Well, apparently, some neighbor of mine got a wireless connection recently because if I look at the 'available networks' option theres about 5 avaiable networks now. I also keep getting booted off of AIM. So their connection is conflicting with mine, and I don't want that, OR have them using my connection. So seeing as my network is not secured, and I'm a noob at networking, can anyone walk me through how to make a secure connection only I can get onto..with like a password or something? I've looked into it but came up short. Right now, I'm running Windows firewall, but thats obviously not working.

I asked my uncle the same thing, he told me to call the phone company and ask them about it but I kinda forgot what exactly I'm supposed to ask, just give em a call and tell em your situation.
