Well, I for one have just witnessed a train wreck and that would be the sad sad showing by the Cards!!! If I were Larousa (sp) I would just sulk out of the dugout and run like the wind!!!

The Cardinals suck, and you might just have to face reality. And why would you run?

The reason I would run is because it is Larousa's fault we arent doing well. As far as sucking, I would have to say that we had the mlb top away game record this year. We had notice I said HAD a great bullpen and we had HAD some mighty good bats..The only reason the Sox are in it is because they got the Wildcard.

Don't blame it on LaRussa. Ok maybe some of it, but not all. If the Cardinals were as good as you think they are, they would have at least won ONE game so far. I would take raw talent over good managing any day.

the cards are a good team its a STL thing. i don't know but everytime ANY of our teams get in the playoffs (save for the rams when they won the SB) we suck! can't figure it out... but i couldn't pick a better team to beat the cards for the WS as much as i hate to admit it...

you had good pitchers and good batters COMPARED TO THE NLCS TEAMS

the sox just had a much better team period, especially after having to go through the yankees. if you have to play tougher teams all season, of course your record wont be as good as the team who played the easier guys

notice how the cardinal team batting average went from over 400 before the series to under 200 after playing the sox

LaRussa is big on small ball run production, but his team never got him in the situation to do that. And when they did, they ended up getting tossed at home or picked off third base. The fact Sox starting pitchers in games 2 3 and 4 only gave up 10 hits and 0 ER helps too.

I will give all the Sox fans the fact that they are a very good team and that they beat the Yankees. The Cards fell asleap at the switch in the Series that is all I can think of for there poor showing. As far as the Skipper, It is his fault for some of the rotations/pitching combinations.. If it were me, I would get rid of matt morris he is as done as Warner. The Sox are a great team, but we beat them several times during regular season. Oh well, I didnt mean to start a flame war..

the sox just had better players, period. both teams were full of momentum going into the series, but the cardinals were quickly and utterly shut down as soon as they played the sox. come on, team batting average going from over .400 to under .200? Thats just horrible, and it shows you something
