My old paintball buddies were going to get together for a scenario game for the first time in years. My brother hasn't played in 3 years and some of the guys I haven't personally played with for 5 to 10 years. It was a very anticipated day in which we all were finally going to get together and throw some paint since the days long before when we were playing tournaments together. Some of the guys are still playing tournaments but I only get out about three times a year. I even started to do some windsprints and deep kneebends daily so I could perform a little better. There were 15 of us in total. we went to KELLY's PAINTBALL just south of lancaster PA. A place that we had gone to before and had some fun with two or three of the old group. The object was to capture the brand new castle that they had built this year. IT WAS THE BIGGEST FIASCO I HAVE EVER BEEN INVOLVED IN!! In a nutshell they wrapped most of the key parts of the castle in netting so his TOURNAMENT TEAM could defend it without a chance of being shot. When one of his team was shot they would disapear and miraculuslly come back up clean (verified by serveral witnesses). When we played the first game( a big 15 minutes) we quickly figured out how far the defending team could shoot. Then when the second game came around, after noone got in, they could now shoot us where the paintballs couldn't reach before. When we voiced our disapproval of the unfairness of this scenario (and later left with some of our group demanding thier money back) Kelly pretty much had an "OH WELL WHAT CAN I TELL YOU" attitude. I have played paintball on several levels over the past 12 years. The guys I play with are at least "good" players. I personally will not be back to KELLY'S PAINTBALL and urged all my friends to vote with thier dollars and not return. I don't know why any field owner would work so hard on a field just to make his rec-ball customers canon fodder for his tournament team. Thereby pissing off the people who were spreading the word and making his buisness grow. It was actually more ridiculous then I have discribed but if I went through it play by play you wouldn't even believe it. We are in agreement we have never had a more disappointing time.

Dude. Don't try to shut down the place because you had a bad time and the players were jerks.
If there is another field close by just go there. If that's the only place by you, if you go there again chances are that team won't be playing.

burning cow: when you tell a field owner that there is a hot gun on the field and his attitude is "oh well what can I tell you" would you play on that field again? Or would you warn people not to go to a place that safety is less important than making a buck. spyderfighter: what does "Player stories much??" mean in english?

Well you're not always gonna get a fair game. I know it sucks, but if you learn to adapt and wipe the floor with those guys next time then you'll be happy.
