I've heard of people using ghost rings on their phantom but I'm not quite sure what they are or how they mount. Is there any type of rail on the phantom? In my limited experience with rail mounts I've seen 2 different types, 3/8 dovetail and the weaver style mount (18mm I believe) that have ring mounts for round scopes and spotters. I'm not sure what to tell you if the phantom doesn't have a rail. Searching around on some stock class forums might find the answer you need. Good luck.

If anyone flames you for choosing to use a sight just ignore them. several people here think that their way is the only right way to play. :p

Phantoms have a 3/8 dove tail. A ghost ring is basicly a metal tube that goes ontop of your gun that you can use to get a good idea on where your shot is going to go. If you want something a little more flashy than a ghost ring look at red dot's, BSA makes good ones so does Adco.

I've been very happy with my 30mm BSA. You can find it in a "major" retail store for $20-$30 bucks. The only problem with it is that I need to use an adapter since it is designed for weaver mounts which are larger then my stock Imagine's 3/8" mount. I found the adapter for around $10 at a local sporting store. The good thing about it is that it allows me to move it further back behind behind the hopper, whereas without it I would have to swing my hopper to one side to fit. You wouldn't have any of these issues with the phantom if you are using a stock class feed setup. Although many people say it's a waste of money, it comes in pretty useful for me since I like to make the first shot as accurate as I can if I have the drop on someone. It's less useful during a chaotic firefight but I like the flexibility it gives me. Are there iron sights on your Phantom?

I had a red dot on my phantom for about five minutes, IMO its a waste of money, you really don't need it. PBs really arn't accurate enough to bother with a sight and if you are close enough to have the red dot be of any use yer already so close you don't need the dot any way, just learn to aim with the barrel (with both eyes open) it'll help yer semi game. but whatever you do don't get a scope it jsut will not work.

Sights are less important like you say with semis, but the phantom is a pump. You can't really walk paint into a target and it's tough to get accurate single shots by sighting along the barrel. At close ranges it probably wouldn't be an issue but for long range single shots you really need either iron sights or some other way.

Well don't get a sight learn to aim instead.

U'll spend 2-3 cases in a weekend just getting the feel for the marker then U'll be able to see-point-fire and hit.

The problem is that even with a pump U don't have the time to use a sight often and its in the way when need to shoot faster then that.

If I were actually getting a aim point thing, should I get a red dot SIGHT, or is it worth the money to spend ten more bucks and get a red dot SCOPE.

takes like less then a second to use a red dot site.. you just look thru it.. line it up and shot.. there is no adjusting...

That second is all I need.... :D

Seriously Ive had a red dot - It worked ok but I found out I was more accurate and faster without it. But that might have come from me beeing an über marksman rollin: or just that I know my marker VERY well...
