YES! I FINALLY GOT IT!

I am going to cut to the chase. Here is the current setup:
Windows Media Center Edition PC
AMD Athlon X2 4200+
1.5GB Ram
250GB + 200GB HDD
GFX Card Pending
TV Tuner (Pirates Paradise)
DVD/RW

I must say, this computer, compared to my last, is liek the ****

The best part: I allmost got a 3800+, but this one was on "display". Which made the 3800+ (that wasn't on display) more expensive, I saved about $50 and now all it has, is the little display screen that is on all the computers at Best Buy. WHICH IS EVEN BETTER! I have a few High Quality Vids from that program.

And, YOU MUST SEE THIS SCREEENSHOT!!!

Yes! That is Stealth Media on the top right, Saving Private Ryan on the top left, and the all so great PBF on the bottom right.

I am in such a ggood mood :p

lety me know what yall think wave:

ha, I think you have your rights and lefts mixed up.

I too jumped onto a new PC. It's amazing. It's not quite what yours is, but moving up from my old Celeron 733 with 192MB of ram, it's INCREDIBLE. I love it. I don't need anything more. I can now convert wav to mp3 in no time flat and can actually multitask!

AMD Athlon 64 3500+
1GB PC3200 DDR (cas 2.5)
120GB SATA 3.0GB/s

The rest doesn't matter. I installed windows in less than 20 minutes and ubuntu in roughly the same amount of time. It used to take over like 2-3 minutes to get my computer started up and everything ready to go. I'm pretty sure it's less that one now (for both windows and linux).

I'll probably be picking up a TV tuner here soon, too :D.

(I'm stealth. My programs are running where you can't see them.)

Well, I need a good GFX card, it is kinda sketchy in CS:S

how much did this cost you?
The one I was planning on getting was $800, this one I have now, has a better processor, and was $750.

But I only paid $500, and I have 6 months to pay it off.

With the money left over, I think I am going to buy a Phantom

Looks like a pretty kickass setup. The computer I'm on now we got in 2003. A gig of ram, 3 ghz, 80 gigs, and other stuff. Still suits me perfectly.

My next comp is gonna be a laptop. Mainly college use.

what brand is this?

personally i never buy white box or name brand. I mean granted you can save money with them, but quality is compramised.

btw, what hdd setup is in it? is it RAID or just two 250's? If this thing is a dell, watch out. They use crapola maxtor drives. The real problem with them is that they run hot and in those virtually fanless dells they just don't get cooled like they should so they die prematurely.

unless you get the 2 Nvidias and bridge them , then no you wont have better than mine.

EDIT: NVM i jus remembered why i didnt do that... the HP MOBO's only have 1 PCI-X slot so you cant have 2 Nvidias...so you can be as good as me but not better :)
