Why is the r/t illegal

Ok so everyone knows that the response trigger is illegal at most places. But why is it illegal when the e grip and things like that aren't?

Egrip and other things can shoot semi-auto.

Right on.

Blanket rules against responce triggers because there's no real way to enforce the speed or something. I understand RT Automags can sometimes fall under it as well depending on the refs and the gun bounce.

Well, if I remember correctly, you can turn off your r/t, but it makes the trigger pull hella hard.

By turning the adjuster all the way in. That's better for leak checks.

The kit comes with a plug/setscrew. Take the RT airline off and put the plug in. Problem with that is that now you have a completly stock 98, and a $60+ set screw.

w/ the RT trigger... when i head reffed a field. I'd personaly eadjust evey single RT trigger on every tippmann and A5 so that it wasn't incredibly fast (so they could play w/ recers a little easier) and so that we nhad no big problems.

but the reason the RT is illegal is b/c it's basicly full auto. cause all u do is hold the trigger down. Yet it can be fun for woods

Its allowed at my field, but most of the people that use it aren't that great, and its more like a crutch for them.
