barrel choices

what would be a good barrel to buy for a 98 custom for great accuracy but not a flatline barrel and for $50-$80 tops.

Um, I would get something like a progressive or J&J ceramic or a CP 1 Piece. Those are around $35. Those are all I can suggest because I don't know about 98 barrels in the 80-ish price range

My favorite barrel on my Tippmann eva was my armson.
Get an Armson Stealth or Pro Series.
I've never tried a stiffi on a tip.
Do they even make em for the tippmann?

Anyway check those out

yeah the Tear Drops are pretty good, bot the Progressive barrel is about the same thing except for the porting.

Yeah the teardrops are fine for the price but you should just get a progressive. Same barrel, different porting and price.

I would go for a J&J ceramic or a Smart Parts Progressive. Both are great, and chances are if you play enough you'll end up with more than one barrel anyway. I just pick up a Stifi CF barrel but havenít gotten a chance to play with it yet.

I would go with the lapco bigshot, I have a boomstick, shot the freaks. wouldn't trade my big shot for anything. just do a search for barrel test, comparisons and reviews.

I think someone at tippmann fell asleep at the wheel when they made their stock barrel for the 98c. Ive heard a lot of good things about the J&J ceramic, in fact, thats going to be my next barrel. And whats wrong with the flatline? I like mine just fine! Then again, i couldnt justify 120 bucks on it, glad I got mine at a closeout sale

I have a J&J Ceramic. It rocks, however, it is kinda picky on the paint it shoots. I found that Podium Series X Balls work very well, but you can use any paint as long as it is a smaller bore. Big bore paint tends to break a lot and will cause your shots to become very inaccurate (just happened today: Corkscrewing paintballs! )

JJ Ceramic. Best barrel in its pricerange. Dont spend too much on your low end blowback.
