worried about recent addition to the family...

I just received our 2nd tippy and I immediately opened it up for a quick polish/cleaning.
I immediately noticed that the rear allen bolt that screws into the bolt (right side) is stripped.
I applied some lock-tight to both, which seems to have helped...

I am wondering If I should worry about this?

I guess I'll find out this weekend

the lock-tite should work fine, but maybe you could just go to a home depot kinda place and get a few extras

I just checked, and it's not the threads on the bolt, but what it actually screws into (inside)...
Is that part called the power tube?

It screws into the valve body. The powertube in that area doesn't have threads.

you should be able to hit an autoparts or hardware store and find a tap that will fit. take the allen bolt with you so you can measure the thread pitch. It shouldn't be a big problem to fix.

I did a search, looks pretty straight forward on how to replace the valve...
