So is it true?

I've heard so much that tippmann markers work best with co2? is this true or should a LP system be something i should invest in?

LP wouldnt work without some serious mods. co2 will work good, but HP HPA would work best

mine has been modded heavly and it operates reliably at 300 PSI with the RT off
but the velocity is so low that it's not worth running at the pressure(180fps). SoI run at abour 550PSI and get a consistant velocity of 280fps. But he worst part is that if i use unregulated CO2 i can't even get the velocity below 300 (add the 300 PSI and thing start to hit 340+)

Tippman does offer a LP kit but it's a hefty price and it takes some tuning to work right.

If Co2 is used then it depends on the reg cause some a designed to work better with it. But Co2 has a tendance to drop of in pressure a fresh properly filled tank will supply about 840 psi @ 77*F But it is dependant on the temperature out side
Code:
Fill	32*F 50*F 77*F 100*F
120%	920.93 psi	958.54 psi	1009.31 psi	1052.57 psi
110%	844.19 psi	878.66 psi	925.2 psi	964.85 psi
100%	767.44 psi	798.78 psi	841.09 psi	877.14 psi
90%	690.7 psi	718.9 psi	756.99 psi	789.42 psi
80%	613.95 psi	639.03 psi	672.88 psi	701.71 psi
70%	537.21 psi	559.15 psi	588.77 psi	614 psi
60%	460.46 psi	479.27 psi	504.66 psi	526.28 psi
50%	383.72 psi	399.39 psi	420.55 psi	438.57 psi
40%	306.98 psi	319.51 psi	336.44 psi	350.86 psi
30%	230.23 psi	239.63 psi	252.33 psi	263.14 psi
20%	153.49 psi	159.76 psi	168.22 psi	175.43 psi
10%	76.74 psi	79.88 psi	84.11 psi	87.71 psi
So most people are only able to use about half the gas in their co tanks (so that 20 will only give about 11oz of CO2 befor you run into problems)

While a HPA tank will keep supplying 800PSI till it's tank drops below 800psi and it's a cleaner gas to use too and not depenant on the spikes like co2 is.

EDIT

Fixed a mistake in the chart

If you have a tippmann co2 is all you need. A LP setup would be more consistant but unless you absolutly need that extra consistancy like if your a tounament player you dont need one. I personaly dont think its nessesary but its you $.
