I am going to make my 98 custom into a some what "sniper". Should i be getting a flatline barrel or a 18in barrel or any other suggestions you would have is great. Thanks

i'd say a flatline, it adds 100 feet to your range, the 18 inch (anything over 13 inches actually) just eats up more co2 and doesnt make it go any farther

The flatline. The m-16 like barrels are pretty acurate too.You will need to use good paint for the flatline though.

definately a flatline over an 18" barrel...an 18" barrel will suck your air like madness. i doubt you will be doing much "sniping," though...

Cool

It does add distance, I run an e-bolt along with a flatline.
It does eat a little more air but when you lay paint on someone before they are in range to even shoot tou can be a N00b and call yourself a sniper all day long as long as you are lighting people up. How many kills you need to be promoted? No idea check your stats in Battlefield 2 on X-Box Live LIVE LIVE!-)

Tippmann is an air Hog with a 2" barrel, flatline doesn't eat much more air, unlike the self cleaning sniper barrels that have holes all the way down the barrel. My stock (when it was) A5 eats alot more air than my pimped out tippy by far, Now with RT I think I'll need a Scuba tank soon for it.

Ahhhhh god, another sniper.

If you want to be accurate and have a long range get the flatline, but you wont be a sniper because in paintball they don't exist. There is a BIG BIG difference between a paintball marker and a rifle.

FYI..the flatline adds probably 20 feet to your range, no more. You can read about Flatlines here.

As for the 18 inch barrel, it decreases accuracy, and I would just get a 16 inch at most.

If you are going to pay so much for a barrel, why not get a UL or a stiffi? Do you really think that you will actually be able to shoot the flatline's whole distance in the woods anyway?

wow wtf....
flatline does not give you 100 more feet to your range, it gives 100 ft of flat trajectory, and anything over 16 eats up gas not 13...

if you're considering a flatline, you're obviously looking for something with a bit of weight.
I highly recommend you look into a used dm3

Because of the weight factor?

Oh how I would love so see somebody calling themselves a "sniper" and then shooting a trix. I'd be lolerskating around the whole field.
