problems with rt

I was thinking about getting an rt, for speed reasons of course, but have seen 2 98 customs go haywire with them. the one kid had his gun sputter out and not recock (he had enough c02) and the other had the same problem, but his had frozen c02 freezing up the gas line and thumb screw that goes into the powertube for the rt. i was wondering if there was a way to prevent this (maybe this has happened to one of you before), or should i just not get an rt? i have an old style frame, so the etrigger/grip is not an option, as well as an ebolt, cause i like my stock. thanks for any input.

I don't think the sputtering has anything to do w/ the RT. He may have thought he had enough CO2 but the RT takes more CO2 than normal to function so it runs out faster. And, were you playing in cold weather when the CO2 froze in the gas line? It can happen because CO2 is a liquid until it shoots out basically and therefore it could've frozen from the cold weather. I have an rt and this has never happened to me. An rt is pretty good to speed up your shot and I think you should be fine. Don't get the ebolt, waste of money.

The RT uses excess or blowback co2, its using co2 that ur not using but is gone anyways. So using a RT doesnt use more CO2 than normal. Same with the Cyclone

THe 1st one sounds like the tank might not have been screwed on all the way. Just enough to open the valve a little and let gass out but not enough.

the other one sounds like he may need an expantion camber or a reg of some kind

Now as for if you should get the RT it is banned at some feilds so check with them 1st. But i got and RT installed on my 98 and i have gotten it to out shoot an Ion in terms of rate of fire.

alright, im still sorta iffy, but i could always change it back to normal semi right? just clog the hole in the powertube? and i play in my friends back woods, no regulations. but we have been cutting down the velocity, if you remember any of my previous posts. i want firing speed, but my 98 has been dissappointing me lately. accuracy is falling off to the point that i pull up my gun to shoot, and the paintballs just fly around, never going in the same place twice. i have a progressive, but pbs are still kinda loose, draxxus blazes? its either investing in a better barrel, or get a rt, cause im spraying paint around like there is no tomarrow, but not fast enough to actually hit what i want. its either better accuracy at this point, or just getting the means to spray paint like a shotgun. right now its getting annoying, maybe i just suck, but i dont remember my accuracy being this horrible before.

find paint that fits the barrel better and you will get better accuracy
