recocking problem?

I have a 98c, all stock except barrel. I screwed on a full 20 oz co2 and took a few shots. The first shot would be normal, but the second shot would be about 15 ft and not recock. I would recock and the first would be normal...etc. What is the deal?

Thanks for the help.

Have you taken it apart yet? And did you lose any springs? It seems like you are missing your sear spring

it has never been taken apart. I played most of the day with it on the other tank and it was fine, but after i screwed the other tank on...it just kept doing that crap.

Sounds to me like the tank might not be screwed into the ASA all the way.

I have the problem with my 98 were the HPA tank will supply the gun with enough air to work for a few shots but will die at high rates of fire. and just the extra 1/4 of a turn fixes the problem.
