98 Custom Paint

My 98 Custom is painted gold. I would like to remove the paint and return it back to the original black. How should I go about doing this?

Thanks,
Rob

Not AZN level price, there's not too many electro markers priced at the same level as the Talon.

Just paint over the black it will still be an improvement over the lousy paint job that Tippmann applies at the factory.

the other option is liquid sandpaper(brand name) you simply disassemble the marker removing all the internals apply the gel over the entire painted surface of the marker allow it to set for the amount of time recommended on the can then simply take a rubber putty scraper and scrape off all the freshly removed paint.

then to reapply the new paint simple wipe down the entire marker in side and out with rubbing alcohol spray it with adhesion promoter then finish with several coats of what ever color of paint you want (the black textured paint will match the factory better than just flat black paint) then if you want it to last for some time spray over it with a clear coat of you choice (gloss, semi-gloss, flat)

this whole process should take you less than a full day of work.

t3hpwn4g3h4zx0r: Attached is a picture of the 98 Custom I recently purchased. I am not sold on the color which is why I may want to paint it.

very interesting, i recommend painting it black but leaving the grip gold, that would look awesome imo.
