we've areayd told you ti's a bad descision. how many more times do you need to hear it before you believe us?

a sniper eh? nothing will give youa longer range shot so I have no idea what youre' wanting out of it. Still, the SP 1 is so muhc of a better choice.

^Agreed.^

There are WAY too many threads about this. Sum rule- Tippmann's suck. They're overpriced unnacurate things that require constant maintenance. Do yourself a favor and keep your SP-1.

Also- just a heads up, adding on to Martix's suggestion, a longer barrel most certainly does NOT mean a longer shot. If anything, it'll give time for the C02 to space out, making the shot go shorter. The only thing that matters is the moment when the shot leaves the marker.

All paintball markers shoot the same range nothing you stick on your marker makes it any more of a sniper marker than anything else. Paintball sniping is all about being quiet and making your marker as consistent as possible. The SP1 is an electro pneumatic with a regulator that means it shoots smooth and quietly and consistently everything that is needed for paintball sniping. The A5 is an unregulated blowback that means it shoots loud and roughly and inconsistently. You are taking a huge step backwards especially considering that you want to be a sniper. I strongly encourage you to give it a chance I understand that your friends all shoot Tippmanns but just because they want to use an inferior marker that doesn't mean you should.

that's because it doesn't NEED any upgrades. it's a great marker right out of the box.
the tippman doesn't NEED any upgrades either. It's also a great marker out of the box, it's just not nearly as great as the Sp-1

Like what? It is a new marker they have come out with a stock adapter plate so you can attach a stock and there is a double trigger released for it now and a new board is being released as well. Give it time giving up a better marker to upgrade an inferior marker is just plain stupid get out there and play this is the only Smart Parts marker that really won me over and it eats Tippmanns for brunch.

My brother has gone through two batteries in a year if that gives you an idea. The SP1 is just a plain all around better choice the way it operates (quieter and more consistent) is better suited to sniping and it is smaller and lighter so it is better suited to more aggressive players. If you had an A5 what upgrades were you thinking of buying for it?
