Exclamation Tippmann A-5 upgrade help

I just bought a A-5 and put an e-grip (external switch), a 14 inch proto barrel on it, and a 48cu 3000psi tank with remote line. and I'm wondering what my next upgrade should be. I've seen somethings about replacing the cyclone with one with venting, but does it really make that much of a difference? And rubber paddles? What about an expansion chamber, or low pressure kit.

Basically I want to make it shoot faster and straighter, and I'm just wondering what's next.

Thanks

I honestly wouldn't put any more money into an A-5. I would use that setup until you outgrow it. Then buy a better marker.

If you want a faster shooting marker buy an electro. The QEPH upgrade for the Cyclone will let it cycle marginally faster but unless you buy all the other Cyclone upgrades and new board for your Egrip you won't really be using it. The soft paddles will cut down on Cyclone breaks but unless you are experiencing a lot of breaks aren't much use at all. Expansion chambers only help with CO2 with HPA it won't do anything. The low pressure kit is a joke the A5 is a high pressure marker with the low pressure kit all you do is drop the operating pressure down a bit so all you have is an uglier heavier A5.

To be blunt you have a good barrel and HPA already so your A5 is shooting as straight as it ever will and with the Egrip you are shooting about as fast as it ever will. You are experiencing the "Tippmann upgrade treadmill" where you keep spending money on upgrades trying to make your Tippmann better. It will never get better. Every Tippmann owner reaches this point where you start buying upgrades when what you should be doing is buying a new marker instead. Don't take it personally I've done the same thing myself and take my advice and start saving for something better right now. You will be glad you did.

RT = response trigger sorry my bad

vortex really i've been told that unless u have an etrigger there's no point to do squishy pads or vortex. if u look at the construction of the side of the gun the air pushes and moves the cyclone and u changing that is making it i think lighter and moving faster. unless ur pockets are deep and u wanna shoot LOTS of paint at the field that's cool with me.. bolt on every upgrade but looks and a little better perfformance is more than enuf for me! i even went a got a tiberius 8 pistol to try limited paint games against the other ppl have to wait till it gets warmer here but i'm excited about that .. wanna move to pump soon but we shall see

someone correct me on the vortex part please

The Vortex helps the Cyclone cycle a bit faster and lets you get a few more shots before running out of air. With the stock Cyclone as your tank gets lower the Cyclone stops feeding and you have to manually push the rod in to spin it for the last couple of shots. The only thing I recommend buying the Vortex for is that the parts are metal! The stock Cyclone ratchet is plastic and plastic on plastic wears easily and the ratchet is the most commonly broken part on the A5.
