Response trigger 98 custom air/co2

I recently installed a response trigger on my tippmann 98 custom. I have hpa tanks and a few co2 tanks. I was told by the guy at the paintball store that if I was going to use hpa I would need to stick with it. He said co2 is a thicker air and can mess with the piston, and when you go back to hpa after a time the trigger wont "respond" the way it should. In other words, if I use hpa and stick with it, no problem... if i use co2 and stick with it, no problem... but if i use co2 for a time, then want to go to hpa it wont respond.

I searched online and cant seem to find anyone else who has said this, anyone here heard of this? I'd use hpa all the time, but the co2 is easier to come by (need to drive nearly an hour to have hpa tanks filled.)

He is indeed a moron.
It may require minor adjusting when switching between the two but there is no reason you have to stick to only one.
