All the TechT Cyclone upgrades will make it faster

Not AZN level price, there's not too many electro markers priced at the same level as the Talon.

If you upgrade the board it makes the A5 easily capable of outshooting the Cyclone.

Without making any changes to the original hardware, would the Squishy Paddles help with more brittle balls?

The squishy paddles will help cut down on the breaks in the Cyclone. Unfortunately the A5 itself is very rough on paint so even with the softer paddles you aren't going to be able to shoot the really brittle tournament stuff.

Just wanted to add that if you upgrade with the whole TechT cyclone kit it will help alot. Mine is set around 25bps and it holds tourny paint pretty well. Just don't put to big of a pin under the sear if you buy the hair pin kit. It will cause the hammer not to lock sometimes and then you have created a high priced version of a spray can! Good luck to ya.

ya dont go modding a A5 all that much, squishy paddles will help but if your looking for more speed beyond what your capable with those IMO its time to find a new marker, your going to have to sink a good amount of money into this one to get it to go any faster and then you still have to deal with the cyclone, they are low end markers that are just not meant or designed to reach the speeds people often want them to

Trbo, don't you think that if you do mod an a5 that much it is more unique? I have yet to see anyone around where I play with the mods mine has. And like I said the cyclone works great on mine. Maybe alot of people have problems with them. I don't know. I only play at couple of places, with pretty much the same people, and usually the only a5, mods you see are e-grip, response, or a barrel. So for where I'm at my gun is unique. And everyone has the same opinion you do. To much money in a lower end marker. But IMO that is what makes it fun. Noone wants to do what I have done. And when I get on the field it will hang with most any high end marker with no problems. Yes i know you can get a higher end marker for cheap and spend a little extra, alot less than me, but to me it's not as fun because most of the people I play with use the same few markers, with pretty much the same mods. I just like to be on the other side. People make fun when I show up on the speed ball field with my "Woodsball" gun that most call it, but things change alot when they play with me or against me. That is what makes me like doing what I did. Everytime I play, I see or here new responses to what I have done with my a5, and that is one of the biggest things to me that makes paintball fun for me. Weather or not people agree or disagree. There attitudes always change when we play.

i never said it wasnt going to make the marker unique but bravo was asking a performance question not a cosmetic question, if you like a unique marker thats fine, mil-sim is pretty much set up for just that, you can make your marker look/feel however you want and chances are it will be much different than anyone elses.

but if you want performance then you start with somthing that is not a low end marker. Im sure you have seen high schoolers with modded honda civics? miss matched paint, or just primer, huge coffee can muffler and its sitting 2" off the ground so they have to maneuver around speed bumps? well, every one of their civics are "unique" and sure they will go faster than a stock civic (or at least i hope they do) but considering the money they spent to get it where it is dont you think it would have been a much better plan to buy, lets say a used mustang? it would go faster than the civic and cost roufghly the same as what they paid for their car and all the mods they put on it. if you want performance you dont stick with a car that was desiged to go to and from the office every day with no performance in mind

if you want performance and you have a low end marker you trade up to something else

if you want a unique marker you do whatever you want, nobody else is going to have the same exact taste afterall

I know you never said that, but you and everyone else talks everyone in their brother down and away from tippmann. So their for it makes it more unique to build one to the max and spend the extra cash and just blow everyone away with it. Yeah it costs a little more, but hey it's people with your same opinions about low end markers that make it fun to build them up. Yes one change different on a gun makes it unique from yours or mine, but no matter what, we always have the same conversations with people. It's everyones own preference.

I also never mentioned anything about cosmetics. I don't prefer the looks over performance. I was talking about the reaction from people regarding the performance of my gun. Simply put. If you spend more money on an A-5 than you would per say, than it makes it that much more fun to send someone like you to the dead box that down talks low end markers....

As for the office car. It's just the same stuff, just in a different price bracket than paintball. I prefer muscle over rice...

as its said, its the player that makes the marker, not the other way around, a pump in the right hands will burry the kid whos parents bought him a dm10, but take two identical people give one a 98 and the other a dm10 and as long as they have some experience in the sport the dm10 holder will know how to use the markers performance to his advantage

if someone wants that built up 98 then thats fine, they are not going to come here asking what to get, you can do very few things to actually increase a blowbacks performance, they are all limited by the fact that they are blowbacks, just like the civic is limited by the fact that its a front wheel drive 4 cylinder. whenever i see someone with a heavily modded a5 or 98 i just think of the great high end setup they could have put together with the same cash, but by all means, its their money if thats what they want to build then go for it, but as far as performance is concerned its never the right thing to do since anything in the mid range braket is going to be higher performance nomatter how much money they have spent on the tippmann.

the above question is a performance question, in fact nobody on the field will even know if the marker has squishy paddles or not so if all the fun is in sending someone to the dead box with a modded setup then how do they even know its modded? same with a lot of mods for the blowbacks out there. for all they know its still a stock marker which leads me to then ask, whats the point? it kind of comes back to your doing something for show or at least bragging rights being able to say that you sent the kid with the dm10 to the dead box.

here it is plain and simple, if you want performance you dont stay with a entry level marker, if you want cosmetics or a unique marker, do what you want nobody is stopping you

Opinion. That's what it is "plain and simple." Points can never be explained to the full understanding from one side to the other. I'm always right in my opinion and everyone else is right in theirs. Just play the game how ever you please, and enjoy every minute that you are fortunate to be able to play.

Jasonb, if you want to upgrade the cyclone, get the whole kit. It is designed to work together. If you don't have an e-grip. That would be next. But like crawdaddy said. It is very capable of outshooting the cyclone, but you would really have to be kicking some paint out. Mine is set to 25bps and it will thrash the field with plenty of paint. This is in my own experience. good luck with your friends gun.
